Why is PlayBakes healthier?
All our bakes are packed with real fruit and veg. These contain essential vitamins, minerals and fibre as well as bursting with natural flavour and colour. We never use additives, colourants or preservatives.
Our bakes also contain less sugar or fat than traditional bakes. You'll find ours contain on average 30% less sugar and much of this comes from natural sources such as fruit or honey.
What ingredients do I need at home?
Kits contain all the ingredients you need except for milk, eggs and butter or oil. Our baking kits include specialist fruit and vegetable ingredients so there's no need to go out any buy anything else.
Can PlayBakes be made egg or dairy free?
If you prefer to bake without dairy or eggs these ingredients can easily be substituted at home. Here are some instructions on how to do this for each of our recipe kits.
What does biodegradable really mean?
All plastic bags used in our packs are biodegradable. This means they will break down and disappear in just a few years instead of taking decades, like non-biodegradable plastics. You can simply dispose of the bags in your normal household bin.
Can I give PlayBakes as a gift?
Yes, PlayBakes makes a great gift. You can personalise it to your recipient and include a gift message in the first box. You can see our 3- or 6- month gift options here.
When will I get my first box?
Boxes are dispatched the last week of the month. We will let you know by email if there are any significant changes to this schedule. If your box has not arrived by the 10th of the month then please contact us here and we will look into it.
Will I need to be in to receive my box?
Our boxes are designed to fit through most letterboxes. If it doesn't and you are not in when your box is delivered it will be taken to your Royal Mail sorting office for collection.
How do I change my address?
You can log into your account to change your address details. Please be sure to do this before the 23rd of the month so that you receive that month's box to the new address.
How can I stop my subscription?
You can log into your account to cancel your subscription at any time. You must do this by the 23rd of the month to avoid being charged for the next month's box.
Do you accept returns?
Due to the perishable nature of our products we cannot accept returns, however, if a box is defective or arrives damaged please contact us straight away and we will look into it.
